Co Curricular Activities

Along with the academic curriculum, the students are also trained for the development of skills and excellence in various sports and co-curricular activities.

Gymkhana:

Students' participate in  Inter-Collegiate competitions for several games like chess, table-tennis, badminton, kabaddi, volley ball, basket ball, kho-kho, cricket, weight-lifting, athletics, cultural activities, essay, debate and elocution competitions etc as well as NSS camps. The selected students from Inter-Collegiate competitions are nominated for Inter-University participation. 

NSS:

NSS Activities carried out by the students of the college  help to channelise their energies and capabilities towards nation building activities by organizing them into volunteers groups. National Service Scheme (NSS) has a vital role to play in this regard and personality development of the Students and upliftment of society. It provides an opportunity to devote their time to the service of the nation and a sense of participation in national reconstruction and inculcation of  social responsibility  be created in the youth by providing creative outlet for their energies through National Service Scheme.

Students' Counseling:

A cell is looking after the counseling activities effectively by guiding the students regarding the preparation for competitive examinations like GATE, CAT, GCET, JRF, etc. Also the guidance for entrepreneurship development is given. The special talks and lectures by the eminent personalities / experts are arranged for the benefit of students and staff.

Training and  Placement Cell:

The cell is coordinating the summer trainings for the students by sending them in different public and private sector organizations for getting the hands on trainings for skill development through practical work in the areas like operation, repair and maintenance of tractor and farm implements, soil and water conservation, micro irrigation systems, food processing and renewable energy technology. Also, the placement of outgoing students is made through holding on campus interviews by inviting leading employers of state and national level. During last 11 years, 100 % graduates obtained the placement through campus interviews.

Alumni Association:

The alumni association of this college has been formed in September, 2003 and registered. The association is actively involved in providing the opportunities to the alumni to interact on the issues pertaining to the development of agricultural engineering profession and offering technical and social services as per its mandate and objectives including giving financial assistance to the poor students. Also, the conventions are organized periodically.
