The Technology and Machinery Demonstration Mela-2025 was organised by AICRPs on FIM, PEASEM, PHET, IWM, CRP on EA and financed by ICAR New Delhi and working under the umbrella of College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh on 20.03.2025 under the guidance and motivations of Dr. V P Chovatia, Hon. Vice Chancellor, JAU, Junagadh. The said Technology Machinery Demonstration Mela was supported by and ISAE, Gujarat Chapter, Junagadh, Tirth AgroTech Pvt Ltd., Rajkot, AFPRO, New Delhi and all KVKs of the JAU, Junagadh. 

     The  mela was inaugurated by Shri Dharmashbhai Poshiya, Mayor, Junagadh Municipality Corporation and guided and motivated the farmers as chief guest. Dr. V P Chovatia, Hon. Vice Chancellor, JAU, Junagadh presided over the function. Dr. A G Pansuriya, Director of Research, Dr. N B Jadav, Director of Extension Education and Shri Sudipta Mitra, Zonal Manager, Tirth AgroTech Pvt Ltd, Rajkot have also remain present as guest of honour and addressed the farmer’s gathering.  

Dr. V P Chovatia, Dr. V P Chovatia, Hon. Vice Chancellor, JAU, Junagadh, in his presidential address, mentioned the dire needs of machinery and technologies adoptions under the situations of labour shortages to reduce the cost of cultivation and increase the farmer’s income.  

     Shri Dharmeshbhai Poshiya, Mayor, Junagadh Municipality Corporation emphasized to align with the other sectors for the technological adoptions to attract the youth in the agriculture through income enhancements and reducing the human drudgery. 

     Total 1200 participants including farmers, staffs and students have been benefited through the technology and machinery demonstration in the mela. The event was commenced with welcome address by Dr. H D Rank, Principal & Dean and ended with vote of thanks by Dr. M N Dabhi, Professor & Head, PFE department, CAET, JAU, Junagadh.
