Department of Veterinary Anatomy, College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh is going to organize a Five Days Vocational Training on “Alternative Scientific Modalities to Improve the Learning Skills in Veterinary Anatomyon 21-25, January, 2020. The training is being organized under aegis of Institutional Development Plan, Indian council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. Around 130-135 delegates and students from host institute, teachers and faculty are expected to participate in the event which shall focus on the benefit from ethical and effective methods of acquiring knowledge and practical skills. New generations of veterinary students will experience the advanced technique and best possible teaching practices in the field of Veterinary Anatomy & Histology. Theuse of alternatives to traditional training methods has become increasingly common in veterinary education as a means to teach basic and advanced concepts along with technical skills. Modern methodologies help educators fill gaps left by conventional methods, reduce and replace the consumptive use of live animals, and ultimately result in the graduation of more confident and proficient veterinarians. The programme shall also feature hands on-training, practical demonstrations, videos, problem solving and panel discussion by experts with students on various field of Veterinary Anatomy & Histology. Eminent speakers from various institutes like GADVASU ludhiana, LUVAS Hisar, TANUVAS Chennai, WBUAFS Kolkata, MAFSU Nagpur, Gannavaram, RAJUVAS, Bikaner, and other SAU’s from Gujarat will deliver talks on issues related to the theme during the training.
