With the inspiration and blessings of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. A.R. Pathak Junagadh Agricultural University celebrated this important National festival in a befitting manner in the premises of Indoor Sports Stadium in the presence of large number of University Officers, Staff, Students and invitees. At 8.30 Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. A.R. Pathak, unfurled the National flag followed by National anthem. Tricolor balloons were released in the sky .Hon'ble Vice Chancellor congratulated to all the University staff, students and invitees on the  71^st Independence Day in his speech and appeal to the gathering to have spirit of patriotism not only on the day of National festivals but also in their daily life by doing hard work in their respective field to make the nation strong.

At this occasion Safai Kamdaars of JAU were felicitated by shawl for their contribution in keeping campus clean and making good contribution in Swachcha Bharat Mission campaign of Government of India. The representative of the Safai kaamdaar offered a bouquet  to felicitate Hon'ble Vice Chancellor.

    A programme of patriotic songs was also arranged by Students, Staff and members of Junagadh Agricultural University Mahila mandal. The celebration of Independence Day programmet was appreciated and enjoyed by the gathering.

     The celebration programme was concluded after vote of the thanks proposed by Dr. P.V. Patel, Director, Students' Welfare.
