The award is given as recognition of this new innovative outcome  in the field of nano technology. This will reduce fertilizer consumption by 1/10^th to 1/5^th and this is how the cost of fertilizer input in the farm will be reduced. In it's 8th edition of award, , Award was conferred by Shri Radha Mohan Singh,Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture,  Government of India  and  Shri Anand Mahindra, Chairman,  Mahindra & Mahindra group in award ceremony at New Delhi on March 06, 2018.  Award was received by Dr. A R Pathak, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor; Dr V. P Chovatia, Director of Research;  Dr A M Parakhia, Director of Extension Education and Dr H. P.  Gajera, Scientist, Department of Biotechnology , JAU, Junagadh.
