Water Management Awareness Programme was organized by Centre of Excellence on Soil & Water Management, RTTC, JAU, Junagadh on 31th July, 2019 at Araniyara. About 52 progressive farmers have participated in the programme. Dr. H. D. Rank, Research scientist (Agril. Engg.) addressed farmers and highlighted emerging groundwater issues and their remedies, agriculture and rural water management strategies under changing climate. Dr. G.V. Prajapati also pointed out the surface and subsurface water management interventions, adoption of drip and mulching technologies for efficient utilization of irrigation water and highlighed the technologies developed by Junagadh Agricultrual University for efficient water management. Progressive farmer Shri Naranbhai Dobaria also shared his experimence of groundwater recharge and use of micro irrigation.
