Department of Agril. Economics, CoA, JAU, Juangadh Organizes a Two Day Workshop on “Structural Equation Modelling” during 29Feb. – 01 March, 2020

A Two Day Econometric Workshop on: ‘Structural Equation Modelling Using AMOS’ is to be organized at the Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture, JAU, Junagadh during 29^th February and 01^st March 2020. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is a vital tool for impact assessment wherein the effect of latent variables is more crucial than that of the observed variables. Besides, SEM also forms as a pillar of research studies dealing with behavioural economics. This workshop is mainly intended to cater the research needs of PG students and faculties in the social science discipline. A total of 100 participants from all the four SAUs of Gujarat have registered to participate in this workshop. Dr. A. K. Subramani, Associate Professor and Head, SPCET, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai will be the lead trainer of this workshop. Both theory as well as hands-on training sessions will be covered in depth. The inaugural session has been arranged in the Seminar Hall, Department of Agricultural Economics, CoA, JAU, Junagadh from 9.00 hrs onwards. Dr. V. P. Chovatia, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor has kindly consented to officiate as the President of the inaugural session and to deliver Presidential remarks.
