JAU, Junagadh organized a programme as a part of celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji with befitting manner. This programme was arranged in connection to Gujarati letter no.NSS/01/Uni.level/Gandhi Ani./2020/2123-62, Dt:07-09-2020 as suggested by the Govt. of Gujarat. During this programme Dr. V. P. Chovatiya, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, PI-IDP and Director of Research extended floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhiji followed by tree plantation. He inspired and motivated all the participants. Other University officials viz., Dr. H. M. Gajipara, Director of Extension, Dr. P. M. Chauhan, Registrar and Co-PI-IDP, Dr. V. R. Malam, Programme Co-ordinator NSS and Director Students' Welfare, Dr. P. Mohnot, ICAR Nodal Officer & Asso. Director of Research, Dr. K. A. Khunt, Principal & Dean, PG Institute of Agri. Business Management & I/c Principal of College of Agriculture & Co-PI, Dr. N. K. Gontia, Principal & Dean & Co-PI-IDP, College of Agril. Engg. & Technology, Dr. B. N. Ummat, Executive Engineer, Dr. K. C. Patel, Director, IT Cell & Procurement Officer IDP, Junagadh Agriculture University Junagadh participated. In this programme approximately 80 faculties and staff participated. During this programme 28 saplings were planted.

      As a part of this celebration two other events viz., Online Quiz competition and Elocution competition on General knowledge on the theme of Gandhiji and Self dependent India respectively are still continued at College of Agril. Engineering & Tech.
