A special Veterinary Clinical Camp was organized in connection with the celebration of “Krushi Vikas Varsh 2014-15”, by College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh in collaboration with Dept. of Animal Husbandry, District Panchayat, Junagadh and Sunidhi Trust Mumbai on 30thSeptember, 2014. Three staff members, Dr. Bhavika Patel, Dr. R. J. Raval and Dr. A. M. Patel along with four postgraduate students from clinical departments were actively involved in the clinical camp. Animals from Virdi and surrounding villages were brought in the camp. During the camp, one thousand eight hundred thirty nine(1839) animals were treated for different medical, surgical and gynaecological ailments. In the camp different clinical cases were treated such as two hundred six (206)Medicine, twenty eight (28)Surgery, fifty three (53)Gynaecology, Eleven (11) Castration, one thousand one hundred fifty (1150)deworming, three hundred ninety one (391) Vaccination cases and ninety five (95) laboratory samples were collected. A total of two hundred eighty animal owners (280) were direct beneficiaries of the camp. Different species of animals of Virdi and surrounding villages got specialized treatment from the expert staff members of the College.
