An inauguration ceremony was held at the College of Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU), Mota Bhandariya, marking a significant occasion in the institution’s ongoing development and commitment to student welfare. The event was graced by Shri Dileepbhai Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO, NCUI, and GUJCOMASOL, and Former Cabinet Minister (Agriculture, Gujarat), who attended as the Chief Guest, while the programme was presided over by Dr. V. P. Chovatiya, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Junagadh Agricultural University. Guests of Honour included Shri Ashvinbhai Savaliya, Chairman of Amreli Jilla Dudh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh and Shri Jayantibhai Pansuriya, Chairman of Amreli Jilla Khareed Vechan Sangh. Prominent university dignitaries in attendance were Dr. A. G. Pansuriya, Director of Research; Dr. N. B. Jadav, Director of Extension Education; Dr. Y. H. Ghelani, Registrar; Dr. R. M. Solanki, Director of Students’ Welfare; Dr. P. D. Kumavat, Principal & Dean, Agriculture; Dr. D. K. Varu, Principal & Dean, Horticulture; Dr. H. D. Rank, Principal & Dean, Agricultural Engineering & Technology; and Dr. D. S. Kelaiya, Principal, College of Agriculture, Mota Bhandariya. On this occasion, the newly constructed Sports Complex and College Canteen were formally inaugurated, enhancing campus infrastructure and student facilities. The programme also marked the official launch of the Inter-Collegiate and Inter-Polytechnic Sports, Cultural, and Literary Competitions for the academic year 2025–26, aimed at promoting holistic development, creativity and camaraderie among students across affiliated colleges and polytechnic institutions.
