A certificate distribution ceremony of Diploma holder held on 26.06.2025 at the College of Horticulture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. The event was presided over by the Hon`ble Vice Chancellor, JAU, Junagadh, Dr. V. P. Chovatia, and graced by the inspiring presence of the Chief Guest, Shri J. K. Thesiya, Chairman, Shree Sardar Patel Education Trust, Junagadh.

     All University officials, viz. Director of Research and Dean PG Studies, Dr. A. G. Pansuriya, Director of Extension Education, Dr. N. B. Jadav, Registrar, Dr. Y. H. Ghelani, Director of Students Welfare, Dr. R. M. Solanki, Director of Information Technology, Dr. K. C. Patel, all Principals and Deans from various colleges, and Principals of different Polytechnic colleges were remaining present in the programme. On this occasion, Hon`ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. V. P. Chovatia addressed the Diploma holder, urging them to contribute significantly to the agricultural sector and to help move from self-reliant farmers to a self-reliant India by enhancing the economic development of the farming community. They have suggested to the more and more entrepreneur instead of job seeker. He also extended his best wishes for a bright future to all the students receiving certificates. In his keynote address, Chief Guest, Shri J. K. Thesiya encouraged them to focus on higher education and prepare for competitive exams to advance further in their careers. Dr. Y. H. Ghelani, The Registrar, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh shared insights into the history from 2 years Gujarati diploma to 3 years medium English polytechnics programme. They also, highlighted achievement of diploma holder in various field as well as placement records. He also congratulated them on their promising careers.

     During the program, diploma certificates were awarded by distinguished guests to 148 students from different polytechnic like Polytechnic in Horticulture, JAU, Junagadh, Polytechnic in Agriculture, JAU, Sidsar, Polytechnic in Agriculture, JAU, Dhari, Polytechnic in Agriculture, JAU, Halvad, Polytechnic in Agro Processing, JAU, Junagadh and Polytechnic in Agricultural Engineering, JAU, Targhadiya. Dr. D. K. Varu, Principal and Dean, College of Horticulture, expressed gratitude to all the esteemed guests. This programme becomes successful and well-organized which was made possible through the efforts of the staff of the College of Horticulture and the Polytechnic in Horticulture.

     The atmosphere was one of celebration and pride, as students, many of whom are now preparing for higher education or entering the workforce, received recognition for their hard work and perseverance.
