AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION DAY-2024 on theme of “AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING IN THE FUTURE AND FUTURE IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING” was celebrated by CAET, JAU, Junagadh, on 03.12.2024.
"AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION DAY-2024 " was celebrated on theme of on theme of“AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING IN THE FUTURE AND FUTURE IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING” on 03.12.2024 by College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh.
The said event was organised under motivation and guidance of Dr. V P Chovatia saheb, Hon. Vice Chancellor, JAU, Junagadh.The continues supports from Dr. R B Madariya, Director of Research & Dean, PG Studies, Dr. N B Jadav, DEE, Dr. Y H Ghelani, Registrar, JAU and Dr. R M Solanki, Registrar, JAU, Junagadh has also helped to make the even successful.
At the first outset, Prof. A L Vadher, Assistant Professor, FMPE, CAET, JAU, Junagadh had welcome all dignitaries seated on and off the dais as well as faculties/staff. Dr. M N Dabhi, HoD. PFE, Dr. V K Chandegara, HoD-AEEE and Dr. M S Dulawat, HoD, REE, other faculties and technical staff of CAET were remained present.
Dr. H D Rank, Principal & Dean, CAET, JAU, Junagadh made brief presentation on “Agricultural Education: Past, Present & Future”. He gave brief explanation about the objectives of Agricultural Education Day celebrated all over the India. He presented facts on the history of Agricultural Education in India from ancient education in world famous Nalanda & Takshshila universities, then from first Agricultural College at Saidapet (Chennai) in 1877 to present modern agricultural education system after implementations of recommendations of 6th Dean’s committee report for UG and BSMA report for the PG programme adopted all over the India under umbrella of ICAR, New Delhi.
Dr. H D Rank, Principal & Dean, CAET, JAU, Junagadh, in his presidential speech, emphasized the role of young generations for the agricultural development. He also briefed on importance and roles of Agricultural experts in the nation’s development as well as water-food-energy securities for the ever growing population of the nation under era of changing climate. He also gave importance and issues of the agricultural productions in India. The sustenance of farmers’ livelihood was emphasized by him particularly under the uncertain climates and water scarcities.
