Dr. B. N. Kalsariya, Professor & Head, Department of Agricultural Extension Education, College of Agriculture, JAU, Junagadh has been facilitated with “Best Extension Scientist Award” which is a prestigious recognition given to extension scientist who have made outstanding contributions to scientific agricultural education, research, extension, and innovations. The award was given during the National Seminar on “Agricultural Extension for Viksit Bharat: Innovations and Strategies for Sustainable Development” held by Society of Extension Education, Gujarat in collaboration with Navsari Agricultural University at Navsari during December 27-28, 2024. This award acknowledges his leadership, innovations, extension activities in rural area and research that have significantly impacted agricultural practices, food security, and rural development. He had presented a lead paper on “Novel Extension Approaches for Reshaping Indian Agriculture”and oral presentation of research papers on “Adoption Level of Farmers towards JAU Recommended Cotton Production Technologies”.

     Dr. J. V. Chovatia, Assistant Professor and Dr. B. H. Tavethiya, Assistant Professor had attended national seminar on “Agricultural Extension for Viksit Bharat: Innovations and Strategies for Sustainable Development” jointly organized by the Society of Extension Education, Gujarat and Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari during 27-28 December, 2024, at Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari.

     ડૉ. બી. એન. કલસરિયા, પ્રોફેસર અને વડા, કૃષિ વિસ્તરણ શિક્ષણ વિભાગ, કૃષિ મહાવિદ્યાલય, જૂ.કૃ. યુ., જૂનાગઢને "બેસ્ટ એક્ષ્ટેન્શન સાઈન્ટીસટ એવાર્ડ (શ્રેષ્ઠ વિસ્તરણ વૈજ્ઞાનિક પુરસ્કાર)" એનાયત કરવામાં આવ્યો છે, જે કૃષિ શિક્ષણ, સંશોધન, વિસ્તરણ અને નવીનતાઓમાં ઉત્કૃષ્ટ યોગદાન આપનારા કૃષિ વિસ્તરણ શિક્ષણના વૈજ્ઞાનિકને આપવામાં આવતી પ્રતિષ્ઠિત માન્યતા છે. આ એવોર્ડ ૨૭-૨૮ડિસેમ્બર,૨૦૨૪દરમિયાન નવસારી ખાતે સોસાયટી ઓફ એક્સ્ટેંશન એજ્યુકેશન, ગુજરાત અને નવસારી કૃષિ યુનિવર્સિટીના સયુંકત ઉપક્રમે આયોજિત "વિકસિત ભારત માટે કૃષિ વિસ્તરણઃ ટકાઉ વિકાસ માટે નવીનતાઓ અને વ્યૂહરચનાઓ" વિષય પર રાષ્ટ્રીય કક્ષના સેમીનાર દરમિયાન આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો. આ પુરસ્કાર તેમણે શિક્ષણ, સંશોધન અને વિસ્તરણ કાર્યની નવીનતાઓ, ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારમાં વિસ્તરણ પ્રવૃત્તિઓ, નેતૃત્વ તથા જે કૃષિ પદ્ધતિઓ, ખાદ્ય સુરક્ષા અને ગ્રામીણ વિકાસ પર નોંધપાત્ર અસર કરી છે. તેમણે "ભારતીય કૃષિને ફરીથી આકાર આપવા માટે નવીન વિસ્તરણ અભિગમો" પર મુખ્ય પેપર અને " જૂનાગઢ કૃષિ યુનિવર્સિટીએ ભલામણ કરેલ કપાસ ઉત્પાદન તકનીકો તરફ ખેડૂતોના અપનાવવાનું સ્તર" પર સંશોધન પત્રોનું મૌખિક પ્રસ્તુતિ રજૂ કરી હતી.
